I’m Kerrie, the cake designer behind Crumbdidilyumptious, an award-winning studio in Fife creating modern wedding cakes for couples who want something genuinely different. I don’t do white wedding cakes. I work with colour, texture, unusual shapes, sculptural details and handmade sugar flowers to create cakes designed to be part of the wedding, not simply placed in the corner. And sometimes, the cake is only the beginning. The Descent transforms the wedding cake into an interactive apothecary experience, while After Dark is a standalone edible experience built around interaction, theatre and the unexpected. Every cake begins with the couple, not a catalogue. From bespoke sketches and 40 flavour combinations to installation at the venue, everything is created specifically for their celebration. Based in Glenrothes, Fife working across Scotland, Crumbdidilyumptious is for couples who aren’t interested in what a wedding cake is supposed to look like. They want to see what it could be.
